Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: [date]
This policy sets out what you may and may not do with JellyRelay, and how to report abuse. It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. What the service is for
Reaching your own Jellyfin server, and letting the people you choose reach it, from anywhere: for example yourself on the go, your household, family and friends.
2. What is not allowed
- Content you have no right to share. Make available only media you own or are licensed to share with the people you invite. Do not use the service to infringe copyright or other rights.
- Illegal content. Including any child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities, with immediate termination.
- Public or commercial distribution. Do not publish your address for the general public, sell or rent access to your server, or run a streaming business through it.
- Other uses of the relay. Do not use the service as a general proxy, VPN, file host or content delivery network, or relay anything other than your Jellyfin server.
- Harm to others. No malware, phishing, impersonation, spam, harassment, or attacks on any system.
- Harm to the service. Do not attack, overload, scan or reverse engineer our relays and systems beyond normal use, get around plan limits or quotas, share accounts or credentials outside your household, or open several accounts to avoid limits.
3. Reporting abuse
Write to [contact email] with:
- the address involved (for example
name.watch.jellyrelay.com); - what is happening, with dates, times (with time zone) and any evidence;
- how to reach you.
For a copyright complaint, also identify the work, state that you are its owner or authorized to act for the owner, and that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized.
4. What we do
- We acknowledge reports and review them promptly. Reports of child abuse material and active attacks come first.
- Content stays on the customer's own server: we cannot see, remove or edit it. What we can do is disable the relay address of the server involved, or suspend or close the account.
- Unless the law or safety prevents it, we tell the customer about a report and give them a chance to respond. Copyright notices are forwarded to the customer as the law requires.
- Accounts involved in repeated infringement or serious abuse are closed.
- We disclose information to authorities only when the law requires it, such as under a valid court order.
5. Disagreeing with a decision
If we act on your account and you believe it was a mistake, reply to our notice or write to [contact email]. We will review it again.
